In line with the association’s tradition, FEPE negotiated a special delegate rate for the hotel rooms which has three variations, from standard to junior suites. Also, due to a new system, delegates will be able to pay by credit card as well as the usual bank transfer method in order to make things easier for foreign delegates.
Among the many excellent speakers for the 55th FEPE congress are, Chairman and co-CEO of JC Decaux Group (the world’s largest outdoor advertising company) Jean Francois Decaux, CEO of CBS Outdoor, Jeremy Male, Chairman and Chief Coaching Officer Zoom Media, Francois de Gaspe Beaubien and Former CEO Kinetic Worldwide, Steve Ridley.
The 54th congress held last year at the Adlon Kempinski Hotel in Berlin hosted nearly 300 delegates from across the globe to discuss all matters regarding OOH advertising. One of the major themes discussed over the 2-day presentation was the accelerated globalization of the OOH medium and how digital OOH can be used to win revenue away from competitive media channels. Participants also discussed how the industry could use the developing overlap between social media, mobile interaction and OOH to drive more revenue growth.
In 1959, the National Outdoor Advertising Federation of France, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Italy and the Netherlands formed the Federation Europeen Publicite Exterieur (FEPE). Later, similar Federations from Great Britain, Switzerland, Spain and Ireland joined as well as private companies from Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Portugal.
The FEPE annual congress was founded by Jacques Dauphin, French pioneer of Outdoor Advertising to discuss issues in the outdoor advertising landscape and proffer a way forward for the industry. The maiden edition of the congress was held in Toronto, Canada in 1960. Subsequent editions have made a positive impact in the outdoor advertising landscape globally.
